TISSUE-TEK ® TISSUE-CLEAR

TISSUE-TEK ® TISSUE-CLEAR – is a xylene substitute, which differs by not irritating skin or mucosa and being odorless. Furthermore its low risk of igniting makes it saver to work with. Tissue-Tek Tissue-Clear is compatible with Glas Tissue-Mount for glass coverslipping.

That is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, odorless and enviromental friendly.

The Accu-Edge Blade allows you to obtain superior ribbons, virtually eliminating chattering, distortion or striation. The dust-free blade dispenser automatically positions new blades safely and precisely.

Tissue-Tek® Paraffin

Specially developed granular histological paraffin for processing and embedding. Sakura has a range of paraffin waxes of different types, allowing you to choose the right one for individual tasks and the needs of the laboratory. All paraffin is filtered through 1 micron filter pores. The Tissue-Tek® paraffin guarantees an excellent level of tissue infiltration, while the crystalline structure of the wax ensures its elasticity.

This wax is used in conjunction with the Tissue-Tek® Paraform®Sectionable Cassette System. The plastics that are included provide the paraffin with the same consistency as paraformaldehyde, with which these blocks are cut in a simplified way. Packing: 1 kg.

The embedding medium for cryotomy

Tissue-Tek® O.C.T. Compound is used to quickly embed fresh tissue specimens for frozen sections using a cryostat. Tissue-Tek® O.C.T. Compound is a formulation of clear, water-soluble glycols and resins, providing a solid matrix to encapsulate tissue specimens and bond to the Specimen Holder for consistent sectioning in a cryostat working temperature of -10°C and below.

Undesirable background staining is eliminated as no residue is left on the slides during staining.

O.C.T stands for optimal cutting temperature. The high viscosity of  Tissue-Tek® O.C.T Compound results in fast freezing for optimal section quality.

Tissue-Tek Glas Mounting Medium

Sakura Finetek offers a xylene-based mounting medium for glass coverslipping. The Tissue-Tek Glas Mounting Medium is designed ready-to-use with the Tissue-Tek® Glas™ g2

Coverslipper.  Depending on coverslipping settings, one bottle coverslips over 16,000 slides. The Tissue-Tek Glas Mounting Medium provides users with crystal clear slides and a secure fit.

SAKURA TDE™ 30

The SAKURA TDE™ 30 Decalcifier System is based on a simple electrolytic principle that, in combination with the TDE™ 30 Solution, decalcifies bones. After decalcification by the SAKURA TDE™ 30, bones can be sectioned more easily. By using this technique the duration of the decalcification process is reduced by 60%, which is three times faster than classical techniques (for example, a femur bone section can be processed in just 15 minutes).

Coverslipping Film Tissue-Tek® – is a unique polymer-coated plastic film that allows cover without the use of slides and mounting medium, reducing costs and saving time.

Tissue-Tek® Uni-Cassette®

The Tissue-Tek® Uni-Cassette® System provides a secure and efficient specimen identification system, from the grossing bench to the permanent paraffin block.

The tissue cassettes consist of a base with an attached lid and are designed for maximum fluid exchange during tissue processing. The Tissue-Tek Uni-Cassettes are manufactured from chemical-resistant plastic and can be used with solvents and decalcifying solutions. These tissue cassettes are validated on Tissue-Tek® SmartWrite® Cassette Printers and the Tissue-Tek® AutoWrite® Cassette Printers for best performance but are also compatible with other cassette printers. The Tissue-Tek® Uni-Cassette® System is compatible with Tissue-Tek AutoSection® and most microtome block clamps.

Tissue-Tek® Mesh Biopsy Cassette

The Tissue-Tek Mesh Biopsy Cassette System is an innovative concept for the safe and economical processing of biopsies. The Mesh Biopsy Cassette allows you to save time without having to use filter paper, sponges or bags to avoid carry-over. The operating efficiency is evidenced by such additional applications as filtration or use of gel without filter paper. The cassettes come with an attached lid.
